So! What's new with you?
(silence)
Great! So glad to hear it! Nothing new here of course. It's not like I left you all hanging while my family was uprooted and in the middle of a lawsuit, surrounded by construction and noxious fumes or anything.
Obviously there was/is a lot going on and I hate to be THAT person but a lot of it I can't publicly talk about. I KNOW, right? Beat me with a wet noodle. But dude, if you wanna strike up a phone chat I will be more than happy to spill it, expletives and adjectives flying.
To bring everyone up to speed, I have decided bullet points and pictures would be the best way to do it. And away we go!
- After moving two or three (!!) more times, we are finally settled, as of November 29th. I will post pictures as soon as we are totally unpacked because it's the most perfect place ever in the history of the world. We love it beyond all reason. It's about time if I do say so myself.
- Theo is 21 months old and chatting up a storm, cracking us up every single day. Here is a Halloween picture to demonstrate the cuteness:
He was a 'choo choo train' conductor and, as you can see, was jazzed about that fun sized Kit Kat bar. - I was lucky enough to meet and hang with Jen who stayed at our house last weekend. Lady friend flew in from the 'Burgh so I give her mad props. I will go into further detail as to WHY she was here in another post but you can see her photos from the trip here and be totally jealous of all the fun we had (Santa CON 2009 in the hizzouse!). I had never met her before in my life and it was like we had been best friends for years. Related: would you all be hip on signing a petition I'm drawing up to have her pack her family up and move here? Specifically on our street? Great thanks.
- I'm pregnant!
- Just kidding.
- 2010 can't come fast enough because I am SO DONE with 2009. And from what I hear others feel the same.
- Another picture? Don't mind if I do! Here is the best family shot we could manage with a squirmy kid (notice my Death Grip around his waist. Don't worry, no internal bleeding was reported):
- I'm already planning my kid's SECOND BIRTHDAY so if I have moments when I just pass out and am unresponsive? That's why.
I have felt so lonely lately without hearing from you so please, fill me in. While I've been gone, what have YOU been up to? Any new moves? Babies in bellies? Rings on fingers? Hit me with it!
(Oh, as an aside, if you want to exchange Christmas cards and I don't already have your addy, shoot me an email. I need fun stuff on our fridge!)
Glad to have you back. If I had a spare 5 seconds in a day, I'd love to hear the story, but more than that, I'm glad that it ended well.

YAY!!!!!!!!!
And I nearly choked at the 'I'm pregnant!' and was going to beat you senseless for not telling last weekend... then I read the next one. You are such a jokester :)

YAY! I love hearing from you again.
That family picture is adorable, death grip or no. The death grip is just necessary at this age, right?
(Why did you bring up the 2nd birthday oh no oh no... ::heads to corner::)

"Yay" was my first reaction too. Just like lab rat, I kept pushing the button every day and now here is my reward! I can wait unti you are able to reveal the details but for now, I'm just glad that you are back and obviously doing well!

I want a Christmas card and I want to send you mine. I am working on an awesome Christmas newsletter and have the terrible family photos to prove it. I'll email you my addr and you better send me yours back! Your new addr of course. Did you guys buy a house or are you renting it? If you bought, OH SO COOL and welcome to the land of paying a mortgage.

I thought someone must have highjacked your blog. Regardles, woohoo! Um, do you now live in a HOUSE?! If so, that's very exciting.
I, you know, got married. Had the hubby move in. Traveled a lot. Have gone insane with work. And have decided that I think Facebook is killing blogs. That makes me sad.

Can't imagine all that moving, it raises my blood pressure just thinking about it. But I'm glad to hear you love your new place! Can't wait to see pictures!
Here's to a fabulous 2010 to make up for your suck-O 2009... you deserve it!

Aw, great pics, as usual. I *love* the black and white one! Glad you are loving the new digs. Nothing new with me...although Yancy and I just celebrated our 10-year anniversary of, uh, dating. LOL Also, I'm hella freaked out about NIU not getting any state funds because the state is basically bankrupt. Hard to say how much longer we'll be able to remain in operation. So, 2009 was pretty good to me (trip to Spain, gainful employment, very first new car purchase, still ahead on house payments, very first real adult furniture purchase, much fun was had, etc. etc.), and I'm kind of wanting to stay in 2009 in order to avoid seeing what 2010 brings. :\ But I can't do that, so here's hoping 2010 is good to everyone! *Especially* you and yours, since 2009 was kind of a bastard to you.

It's funny because the last several days, upon sneaking back to Twitter after a hiatus and seeing some of your tweets, I though to myself "Did Samantha's blog accidentally get deleted from my Google Reader? Because I haven't seen anything from her in MONTHS!" And voila! Here you are!
So glad to hear you have a happy wonderful place to live in. And adorable picture! Theo has gotten so big!

It's totally time you guys had good news to share!

Love the train conductor! So cute that Theo, and two already!? Gah.
I'm so over 2009 too. Bring on 2010!
I'd love to send you a Christmas card, I'll shoot you my email if you'd do that same in return?
