Mark my words
If ONE. MORE. PERSON. asks me when I'm going back to work I will punch them in the face. That question, and the decision surrounding it, is the single biggest stressor in my life right now. So no, I DON'T want to talk about it.
Thank you.
you should answer "That question, and the decision surrounding it, is the single biggest stressor in my life right now. So no, I DON'T want to talk about it." and they would be enlightened to the sensitivity of the subject. they prolly just think they are making small talk. and then, if they make a face like what's the big deal, THEN you punch them. hard.

Yuck. I know that feeling. Sadly we are unable to pay our bills if I stay home, so at 14wks our son started daycare. He goes to the same school our daughter goes to - they both are doing well - but ugh, I do know that feeling, only too well.
Good luck with whatever you decide, it is a hard decision if you have a real choice [i.e. can afford to stay home...]

Could not agree with you more! I have to go back mid June. I am SO not looking forward to it. Plus I don't think I can talk anything but baby talk at this point.

Tell them, "When I'm damn well ready."
You're not lying--if you're never ready, you'll never go back. Before they can figure it out, the stupidity police will have thrown them in jail for life, so you won't need to worry about explaining it to them.

Good luck with your decision. I went back but I was miserable, and we were lucky that I was able to quit and not kill our finances. I know how hard it is when your "return date" is rapidly approaching! Just relax and enjoy your time at home. Your answer will come to you soon enough.
