The Most Perfect Child In The Universe

The Most Perfect Child In The Universe

Theo Thomas, 23 hours old in the crook of dad's arm after a good ol' bottle.

I pushed for 23 minutes. Went from 3 cm to 10 cm in 4.5 hours. Easy labor :-)

He's in NICU since he's technically 5 weeks early, but he's doing wonderfully. He will still be monitored for a few more days, to make sure he doesn't regress (which is common for NICU babies to 'hit a wall' on day 3 or 4). Maybe he'll go home with us in a week? We don't know yet.

He makes squeaky noises. Sucks his thumb and loves his binky. Burps and toots like a champ.

He is so addicting.

I'm sure you are totally and completely in love! He's precious!

Saw the announcement on One Time One Place and had to come over to say Congratulations!! Theo is simply adorable. Hope everything goes well this week and that you'll be able to bring him home soon. Enjoy your new little one.

He's just perfect.

He's beautiful, Sam. Truly beautiful.

I have been stalking your blog- I saw the link on Shelley's blog from the circle journals.
I am SO happy for you and your newly enlarged family! You did a fabulous job! :)

He looks just like you. I swear. The shape of his face, his hair... He looks so comfy with dad! In the NICU...to encourage the other babies to grow big, strong and healthy like Theo. You so deserved a good labor after what you've been through. Something had to go your way. I'm so happy for you all. So much love! It feels like Christmas. Sorry for gushing on and on and being a sap.

I certify this baby 100% perfect. Signed: Swistle.

He's soooo cute!

I'm so happy that you guys are so happy, and that he's doing wonderfully well.

And I'm so thankful for the updates!

ooohhhhh - I totally had a BH contraction just from looking at that picture. What a perfect little man. I'm so so so so happy for you, and glad you had an easy labor - you deserve it after everything you've been through with this little guy. CONGRATS!

He is so beautiful Samantha, you guys did a great job! And kudos on the quick delivery!!

He does look just like you! Congrats!

He does look just like you!

The most handsome little newborn in the world! I have no idea how people can tell who newborns resemble (didn't see it in our twins) but he definitely looks like you. What a doll! Hard to believe he was just in your belly, right? :) Enjoy!

He's here! And he is perfect and beautiful and really does look like you! All that bedrest did the trick! Can't imagine how big he would be if he waited five weeks.
Congrats and enjoy being a Mommy!

He is beautiful - congratulations!

He's so handsome! Congrats again!

Great pic. Love the hands. He's totally sporting your chin. And good crying in the video!

Wow to easy labor, but then again, you've *sort of* been in labor for weeks, so your body was like "I am NOT going back to the couch"! (Also good that later you can pull the whole "I was in labor for WEEKS with you, and you're going to try to pull this mess?)
He's beautiful and, I will agree, seems pretty perfect. Congratulations!

Happy happy happy! What a beautiful boy! I'm glad he's doing so well. I have been thinking of you nearly non-stop.

OMG he's beautiful. I don't care if he is a boy, he's beautiful! [As is my son, of course] But this, THIS is about your boy, and he's so sweet! Love the name too, btw. :)

Also - when you're looking to expand his wonderful library even more, I highly recommend any of Sandra Boynton's books, but if you want a good place to start, I'd go for The Belly Button Book, Pajama Time, and Moo Baa La La La.

Congratulations!

Congrats!!!
